Chapter Two

Lolita is pretty sure she's pregnant.

If she's not, then she's got one hell of a stomach bug.

"I MIGHT BE PREGNANT!"
"Gah!"
Loli's childish side sometimes can be confused for an evil side, especially when she cackles.

"I think we should get a puppy." Lolita says one afternoon while flipping through the paper, a sentence that Bernard was dreading to hear. He's not much of an animal type, and he knew when Lolita said 'I think' she actually meant 'we are'. She leaves very little room for argument, as per usual.

Hours later, a man from the animal shelter shows up to deliver a puppy and spend some time staring at Lolita's breasts.

She named the puppy Luna, and within hours they're BFF's.

Lolita contemplates the fact that she might very well be a parent soon, while in the bath.

Soon enough the waiting game is done and it's official, Lolita is with child. In the background, Luna could care less, she just wants to dig up rocks, like any good dog would.

Since books are still insanely overpriced, Bernard and Lolita spend the following days going to and from the library, reading every parenting book they can get their hands on. After all, they're not going to screw up with their kid the way their parents did them.

Pregnancy doesn't slow Lolita down at all though, oh no, she still works all hours of the night. On one such occasion, she happened to bring home with her, a bad case of the sniffles. Which she promptly gave to Bernard. After a quick trip to the doctor's, they're told bubble baths and meditation is the best medicine. Lolita quickly commandeers the one and only tub in the house, leaving Bernard to attempt to level up five times on the old Sim Fu training dummy he bought at the consignment store, before he can meditate. Safe to say, he stayed ill longer.

The house gets a bit of an expansion with the money that Bernard is pulling in, allowing them to give their future child a small nursery. Only regret, it's no longer slant-y.

While Bernard and Lolita are dealing with colds and pregnancies, Luna is dealing with troubles of her own. Ever since she arrived at her new home, she's been stalked by a dog gnome. Eventually she decides enough is enough, and takes matters into her own paws.

Bernard is practically glued to his easel, trying to make sure his future child will want for nothing.

Lolita helps her future child in her own special way, by sleeping 'till noon and eating plate after plate of cookies.

Bernard buys an inventing bench, hoping to make his child toys.

One night, right as Lolita walks in the door from work, she goes into labor. Bernard helps by jumping up and down and screaming like a fool.

Both had wished for a boy, hopefully they weren't too disappointed when they brought home a girl, whom they named Dot.

Bernard is entranced by the tiny little person he helped bring into this world, while holding her in his arms for the first time, he instantly wishes for another child. After all, being an only child is no fun. He would know, he is one.

Bernard asks Lolita about having another baby, her response; Meh.

Lolita puts less work into making the children than Bernard did to birthing them, which is to say, hardly any. Sure, it's fun and all, the sexy times. But being a childish sim, Lolita would much rather play with the dog or swing at the park.

Intermission: one night after work, Lolita and her co-workers all run across the street and into the brand new library where someone had a rather bad case of Burning Sim and set the place on fire.

Lolita was the only one who gave a damn enough to actually put out the flames, all the while nauseous. No one ever found out who the poor schmuck was that burst into flames, nearly taking the library with him. His ashes were gathered and buried, unnamed.

At home, Lolita finally gets to give into the urge to puke.

While it may seem like it at times, Loli is not against the idea of being a parent. She enjoys having a daughter greatly, and cuddles her every chance she gets.

Dot has a birthday.....

..... and is so not impressed with your shit.

But she's cute, so that makes up for any future personality quirks.

Ooop, and there we go. On the bright side, no more puking.

Notes;
So that's two kids down, sure one's yet to be born, but it's there so it counts. Technically the Expansionist aspect could be considered done as well, but that was just the first of many many changes their house will undergo, so I consider the Expansionist bit still underway.

I swear, I had that new library built and installed not three in game hours, and some dumbass has to go burst into flames there. By the end I was so annoyed, after trying and failing to repair the damage it caused, that I was like, I'm glad you died! Whoever you may be, ruining my damn library. How dare you!

Dot's traits are perceptive and heavy sleeper. I randomly roll all my toddlers traits, or else I'd end up giving all of them the same two. So, while those two traits are currently useless to her, they might come in handy at a later date. You never can tell.
